Basarnas Hentikan Pencarian Korban Lion Air di Hari ke-13

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Kepala Basarnas Marsekal Madya Muhammad Syaugi menyatakan pencarian korban pesawat Lion Air PK LQP yang jatuh di Tanjung Karawang, Jawa Barat, dihentikan Jumat 10 November 2018. "Pencarian Basarnas Pusat kami putuskan untuk ditutup hari ini," kata Syaugi di Jakarta Internasional Container Terminal II, Jakarta Utara.

Ia menuturkan perpanjangan masa pencarian telah dilakukan dua kali. Awalnya pencarian korban hanya dijadwalkan selama tujuh hari, lalu diperpanjang menjadi 10 hari dan diperlanjang lagi menjadi 13 hari yang berakhir Jumat ini

Menurut dia, penghentian pencarian korban oleh Basarnas telah dirapatkan oleh semua pihak terkait. Namun, kata dia, Basarnas Jakarta dan Bandung bakal terus melakukan operasi SAR di kawasan perairan lokasi jatuhnya Lion Air pada 29 Oktober 2018 lalu.

"Kalau ada nelayan atau warga yang menemukan jenazah korban maka bisa laporan langsung ke Basarnas Jakarta atau Bandung," ujarnya. "Mereka juga akan berpatroli di sekitar perairan Karawang."

Seluruh kantong telah diserahkan ke RS Polri Kramatjati untuk diidentifikasi. "Terakhir kami kirim kemarin satu kantong jenazah ke RS Polri untuk diidentifikasi. Jenazahnya kami temukan pagi," ujarnya.

Menurut dia, pencarian hingga Jumat siang belum membuahkan hasil. Syaugi memohon maaf jika proses pencarian oleh tim Basarnas dianggap belum maksimal. "Kami berharap dari 196 kantong yang diserahkan bisa teridentifikasi 189 orang yang menjadi korban."
